PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To diagnose the degree of deterioration of an organic polymer product from the change with time of propagating time by measuring a propagating time required for propagating the ultrasonic wave oscillated from an oscillator through the organic polymer product and being received by a receiving means. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic wave oscillated from a ultrasonic wave oscillating means 1 is passed through an installation means 11 and coming into a coated layer C1. Incoming ultrasonic wave is propagated by various routes in the coated layer C1, but because a ultrasonic wave component propagating by the shortest route between the oscillating means 1 and a ultrasonic wave receiving means 2 is exists within them, it is received by the receiving means 2. The oscillating time of the ultrasonic wave from the oscillating means 1 and the receiving time of the ultrasonic wave by the receiving means 2 are input to a propagating time measuring means 3 through a ultrasonic wave oscillation control means 12 and a ultrasonic wave receipt control means 22, and the propagating time T of the ultrasonic wave against a reference installation space L is measured. Namely, the ultrasonic wave from the oscillating means 1 reaches the receiving means 2 through the installation means 11, the coated layer C1 and an installation means 21. A distance between optional base points is measured by an installation space measuring means 5. The change with time is memorized by a computing means 4. |
