PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of efficiently producing a phase difference plate which is uniform in a phase difference in an intra-surface direction, free of irregular color, is capable of an uniform and high grade display, is further free of the intrusion of foreign matter and is normal in appearance. SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin is melt extruded by a first extruder 1 and in succession, the foreign matter is removed therefrom by subjecting the thermoplastic resin to filtration by using a filter 2. A plasticizer is mixed with the thermoplastic resin in a second extruder 3 after the filtration and the mixture is extruded to obtain a thermoplastic resin film. The resulted thermoplastic resin film is stretched. |
