PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make information readable and writable with respect to a composite card, which can be inputted and outputted in non-contact state, in the optimum condition by performing input/output to a non-contact type IC, which is moved together with a card placing base, by radio communications. SOLUTION: When a hybrid card 1 is inserted to a card placing base 2 with an optical recording part 1a turned up, the operation to discriminate whether a non-contact type IC 1b is mounted on the hybrid card 1 or not is performed. When a discrimination signal of the hybrid card 1 is given from a host computer, a driving command is given to a shuttle driving voice coil motor 16, and card carrying is started. Next, a card recognition command is given to a communication module 21, and the operation sequence most suitable for card recognition is executed for the hybrid card 1 by the communication module 21. In this case, radio communications between the non-contact type IC 1b and an antenna 20 are possible throughout the range of movement of the hybrid card 1 which is moved together with the card placing base 2. |
