PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adverse effect of metals in forming a liquid crystal droplet (the mesh of liquid crystal) and to reduce the adverse influence of a lateral electric field applied among a metal wiring and picture elements by providing an adiabatic insulation film on a metal wiring. SOLUTION: Horizontally running scanning signal metallic lines (gate) 12 as well as vertically running video signal metallic lines (source) 10 are formed in a matrix form on a glass substrate at an array side, and a semiconductor layer 14 is formed at the cross section as an active element (switching element). For pattering an insulating film 16 on the substrate on which the video signal lines (source) 10 are formed, a photo-sensitive acrylic resin is applied on the substrate by spin-coating method. In such a manner, when polymer layers as liquid crystal and a matrix are separated from each other, the adverse influence for making the liquid crystal droplet due to existence of the metal wiring is eliminated, and it is further possible to form uniform liquid crystal droplets (liquid crystal mesh), and obtain a liquid crystal panel excellent in display quality. |
