摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the aperture ratio of pixels without decreasing the light transmissivity of a liquid crystal panel in a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 20 of a liquid crystal display device consists of a transparent substrate 2 where TFTs 4 are formed and a transparent substrate 3 where a common electrode 10 is formed. On the transparent substrate 2 on the side of the TFTs 4, color filters (r), (g) and (b) are formed on a gate insulating film 8 and drain lines 7 and pixel electrodes 5 are formed thereupon. Namely, the drain lines 7 and the pixel electrodes 5 are laminated and formed at different positions in the insulated state that the color filters (r), (g) and (b) are held between them. Therefore, the side edge part of the pixel electrode 5 and the side edge part of the drain line 7 can be put in the state that the both are insulated from each other and laminated up and down. Consequently, a light leak between the pixel electrodes 5 and the drain lines 7 can be prevented without newly forming a light shield film.
