PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize dispersion in illuminance distribution and make it difficult to cause a glare by mounting an opalescent translucent cover on an emitting opening part. SOLUTION: In this desk lamp, an opalescent plate translucent cover 40 is mounted on an emitting opening part 20 formed on the lower surface of a lamp body 15 for illuminating a desk upper surface 2. Since the translucent cover 40 transmits the direct light of a lamp 23 mounted within the lamp body 15 to illuminate the desk surface 2, the desk surface 2 can be uniformly illuminated. When the emitting angle of the lamp body 15 is set upward, the translucent cover 40 transmits the direct light from the lamp 23, whereby the glare can be suppressed even if it enters the eyes. When a one having a concave lens-like sectional form is used as the translucent cover 40, the light of the lamp 23 is diffused down ward substantially in inverted truncated chevron after transmitted by the translucent cover 40 to brightly illuminate both this side and deep side of the desk upper surface 2. |
