PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent toner leakage in a developing device when a frame body is operated to get in and out by providing a pair of protection members protrusively provided toward the outside from both side parts of a part to be elastically pressed which is pressed by a pressing means. SOLUTION: The respective pairs of protective projections (protection member) 317 are protrusively provided on the back wall 301a of a developing device main body 301 so as to hold each pressing plate 316 in between from right and left. By pressing an image forming unit 30 in a casing, the arc-shaped edge part of the projection 317 gently interferes with an eccentric cam 383 and the projection 317 receives forward reaction from the cam 383. Thus, the developing device 3 gets in a state where it is pushed away forward by the projection amount of the projection 317(B). Since the forward movement of the device 3 is more gently than the case that the side edge of the pressing plate 316 directly collides with the cam 383, the device 3 is not shocked, and failure that the toner in the device 3 is scattered to the outside is prevented. |
