The invention relates to a device for rendering high-quality sounds in equipment with limited space, for example notebooks. Said device consists of two very small loudspeakers (L1, L2) working in frequency ranges (f1, f2) which are each inaudible in a different manner. The loudspeakers are arranged and controlled together with a common acoustic modulator (AM) in such a way that the difference in frequency between the working frequencies (f1, f2) is converted into audible sounds by said acoustic modulator (AM) in the audible frequency range by acoustic modulation.
