<p>A method for sintering a plastic covering onto a pipe, by applying pulverulent plastic onto the preheated pipe, to smelt it and then smoothing the surface of the plastic by further heat treatment, is carried out by heating the pipe and then, in a single opeation, applying the powdered plastic and smoothing its surface with heat. Prefd. appts. comprises a bed on which the pipe is continuously revolved, while carriages for heating it, applying the powder, and smoothing it are continuously moved along it.</p> |
