<p>The present invention is related to a method for preventing the clogging of medicinal drainage or ventilation tubes, comprising coating the surface of said ventilation tubes with anticlogging substances, especially human serum albumin. The medicinal ventilation tubes are rigid, semirigid and/or elastic tubes, such as tympanostomy tubes, paranasal sinus drainage tubes, thracheostomy tubes, gastric tubes, urinary catheters, wound drains and voice prosthesis tubes made of plastics, silicons, metals, hydroxylapatits, etc. The use of the anticlogging substances for manufacturing surface coated medicinal ventilation tubes for treatment of diseases requiring ventilation and/or drainage is also described.</p> |
