Pharmaceutical container stopper cleaning and sterilization unit

New pharmaceutical container stopper cleaning and sterilization unit. Following the bottling (1) of esp. pharmaceutical products, each bottle is sealed with a stopper which is presented from a supply of sterile stoppers (8). Each sterile stopper is transferred (4) from the supply held in a fixed combined cleaning and sterilization container (3). The container (3) has a stopper supply tube (10) to the inlet (11) and discharges (12) the treated stoppers through a remotely-operated closure (14) to a pipe (5) which supplies the stopper transfer station (4). The closure (14) is operated esp. without mechanical linkage. The pipe (5) outlet forms a nozzle (19) which is continually sterilized (17, 18, 19). The stoppers (8) are released from the nozzle into a sterile transport medium (23) in which they are presented for bottle closure.
