DC-free drive circuit for segments of liquid crystal display

The circuit uses an analog low pass circuit to produce a signal with an average value corresponding to the back plane oscillating at a fundamental clock frequency. The signal is used to switch the required segments. The resistance is high compared to the impedance of the back plane of the liquid crystal display, and the time constant of the capacitance is large compared to the fundamental frequency of the liquid crystal display.
