The unit incorporates a rotor (2) which is located between a cooling water supply line and the roll and is provided with an axial bore. At one end, the rotor has a first sealing unit (6, 7), while at the other end, the rotor shaft is shaped as spherical head (12) forming a second sealing unit jointly with a corresponding element of the cooling water supply line.
