A bridle bit useful for training an animal, for example, a horse. The bit comprises at least one bar (18) to be received in the mouth of an animal, the at least one bar (18) having internally disposed therein one or more bushings (8) providing mouthpiece rotational movement, and cheek pieces providing traditional rein and headstall ring members (20) for bridle assembly attachment. The invention may be used, for example, for the pinch and/or pain free training control or correction of horses.
