PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy detection at a coated optical fiber identifier by having a protective tube for optical fiber cable wiring which protects a optical fiber ribbon and has the transparency to the extent of allowing the detection of the light leaking from optical fibers by the coated fiber identifier. SOLUTION: The jumper cord to be mounted in the jumper cord fixing section within an optical fiber cable main wiring frame comprises the protective tube 1, an MT connector 15, an anchor section 3, a ribbon cord 4, a branch section 5, single core optical fiber cords 6 and SC connectors 7. The protective tube 1 has an outside diameter of <=1.4 mm and consists of a polyester elastomer and, therefore, has good passability of light, is small in diameter and is good in handling quality. The protective tube 1 covering the optical fibers has the transparency to the extent of allowing the detection of the light leaking from optical fibers by the coated fiber identifier and, therefore, the light passability is made better than a conventional cord and the identifier by an ID tester is made surer. |
