PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose harmful substances, e.g. dioxin, adsorbed to active carbon used for adsorbing dioxin, or the like, in exhaust gas from refuse incinerator surely in safety by passing the active carbon through the flame of an oxygen spray burner and incinerating the active carbon. SOLUTION: The active carbon treating facility 12 in a refuse treating system 10 purifies exhaust gas from an RDF fired boiler 11 by blowing active carbon 57 unto the exhaust gas thereby absorbing harmful substances, e.g. dioxin, contained therein. The active carbon is then separated from the exhaust gas through a bag filter 22 and fed to an oxygen spray burner 15. The oxygen spray burner 15 burns fuel oil 55 produced by an oiling facility 17 using oxygen gas 53 from an oxygen production unit 14 to produce high temperature combustion flame. Harmful substances, e.g. dioxin, are decomposed by burning used active carbon 58 completely in the high temperature combustion flame. |
