The invention relates to thermoplastic polyester molding materials, containing: A) 30 to 100 % by weight polyesters consisting of a1) 50 to 100 % by weight of polybutylene terephthalate with a Lewis acid inorganic or organic metal compound content in the range of from 65 to 100 ppm (in relation to the metal) and a2) 0 to 50 % by weight of polyesters different from polybutylene terephthalate; B) 0 to 40 % by weight of impact resistance modifiers; C) 0 to 30 % by weight of flameproofing agents; D) 0 to 50 % by weight of filling materials and E) 0 to 20 % by weight of further additives, whereby the sum of the weight percentages of constituents A) to E) always equals 100.
