The invention relates to a three-phase direct current motor with electronic commutation and high motor performance, whereby fourteen permanent magnets or an even-numbered multiple of fourteen are arranged on the magnetic return ring, opposite to which twelve stator poles of a stator or an even-numbered multiple of twelve are placed. The motor is operated in the limit range of saturation and the tension induced in the phase windings is almost sinusoidal, whereby a low latching moment is simultaneously present.
