<p>A circular saw cutting machine, wherein, when the rotation of an electric motor (21) is transmitted to a spindle (23) after being decelerated through a speed reduction mechanism including a gear mechanism so as to perform a cutting by a circular saw (28) installed at one end of the spindle in cutting a metal material to be cut, the moment of inertia I (kgf.m.sec<2>) of the spindle is F x (D/2)/[1000 x 250 x (N/60)<2>] or more, where the outside diameter of the circular saw is D (mm), number of rotations is N (rpm), and a cutting force for each blade as a component of force in tangential direction is F (kgf), whereby, in the area where the number of teeth concerned with cutting Zi at the start and end of the cutting of the cut material is 1.0 or less, a variation in rotation of the spindle is very small because the moment of inertia is large as compared with a cutting torque which is applied to the spindle due to an intermittent cutting resistance and also, in an area where Zi is large, a regenerative chatter is suppressed, and thus the accuracy of a cutting surface and the service life of a cutting tool can be improved.</p> |
