The wind power wheel, which is a bucket wheel for example, is mounted in a housing so that the entry of wind takes places through guide plates(5,2) and thereby acts upon 80-100 degrees, and preferably 90 degrees, of the bucket wheel, and is then directed through the bucket wheel and further guide plate(3) tangentially over 90-230 degrees, and preferably 180 degrees of the wheel, and then carried away through the guide plate system(5,1,3,2).
