DEVICE FOR COUPLING TWO ATTACHED MODULAR ELECTRICAL ELEMENTS

The invention concerns a compact electrical block consisting of two modular elements (D, P) attached along one of their side surfaces, and comprising fixing means maintaining them in contact with each other in said configuration thereby enabling double co-operation: a mechanical co-operation acting via a mechanical coupling acting through and along a direction perpendicular to said lateral surfaces plane; and an electrical co-operation via an interconnection operating in a direction perpendicular to that of the mechanical coupling. The invention is characterised in that one of the elements (P) comprises a member (4, 28) sliding along one of said directions, simultaneously ensuring, depending on the sliding direction, that the fixing means are mutually operative and: either the electrical connection when the mechanical coupling is produced; or the mechanical coupling when the electrical connection is produced; the electrical members powering and controlling (7, 25, 16) the element (P) comprising the sliding member (4, 28), including the connection terminals (7) and all the conductors (25), being dissociated from the members (10, 11, 12) producing the mechanical coupling by the sliding member (4, 28), and driven by a relative motion when the latter is moving.
