The brake caliper (1) and the brake support are tensioned together by a retaining spring (5) which is curved out from wire and has a closed loop shape. The spring can be shaped as a closed wire ring and can be formed from a wire section whose two free spring ends are connected together e.g. by welding or soldering, resistant to bending.
