<p>A composting apparatus (10) is disclosed which is designed specifically to house worms to aid in the composting process. The apparatus (10) includes a receptacle (11) which defines a chamber (23) for containing material to be composted. To create an environment within the chamber suitable for worm survival, a perforated aerating pipe (27) and vents (24, 25, 26) are disposed within the receptacle to facilitate circulation of air within the chamber and a liquid discharge system incorporating a tap (30) is operative to remove liquid from the chamber.</p> |
