The surface of a substrate is coated by electrophoresis in which, during the passage of electrophoretic current, the bath is subjected to some vibrations in to generate vaporous cavitations near the surface. The vibrations are applied only during a first phase at the start of the passage of current and/or only in a second phase at the end. AN Independent claim is also included for an installation for the continuous coating of the surface of components by electrophoresis. |
