<p>Device for gripping a stalk of a plant cut off by a harvesting machine, for further processing, which harvesting machine comprises a cutting element 8 for cutting off said stalk just above the ground. The device being provided with a movable arm 10 having a number of grippers 16 situated at a distance from each other for gripping the stalk 22. Said arm being moveable by means of a drive mechanism 12, 13, 14, 15, which is able to move said arm from a substantially vertical position to a suitable delivery position. The device further comprising a feed element 29 comprising two grippers 30, 31, which can take over the stalk from the grippers on the arm 10 and being moveable for feeding said stalk into a processing element 1. <IMAGE></p> |
