PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of reducing the manufacturing cost of a hydrogen producing apparatus even while dropping the operation pressure of a desulfurizer in an on-site type hydrogen producting apparatus, a steam reformer and a CO modifier without enlarging the apparatus. SOLUTION: This apparatus for producing hydrogen has 0.5-2 atm operation pressure of (a) a desulfurizer, a steam reformer and a CO modifier in an on-site type apparatus for producing hydrogen. A modified gas obtained by the CO modifier is pressurized to 5-11 atm pressure range by a compressor. In (b) the desulfurizer, a raw material hydrocarbon is desulfurized to <=1 vol. ppb sulfur content in a raw material hydrocarbon. |
