<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition useful for decreasing intake valve deposits in internal combustion engines or for reducing occurrence of valve sticking by compounding a polyalkene-substituted amine and a specific poly(oxypropylene)monool having a hydrocarbyl terminal group. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) at least one polyalkene- substituted amine and (B) at least one poly(oxypropylene)monool having a hydrocarbyl terminal group represented by the formula (wherein R is an alkyl or alkyl-substituted aromatic group having about 8 to about 20 carbon atoms; and x is a number of about 13 to about 28), the wt. ratio of the components A to B being in the range of about 10:1 to about 1:10. As the component A are preferable poly(butene)amines having a number average mol.wt. of about 500 to about 3,000, and there can be exemplified Npoly(butene)amines, N-poly(butene) ethylenediamines, N-poly(butene)diethylenetriamines and the like.</p> |
