摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain flow resistance due to a spacer in an exhaust passage at lower levels in a turbocharger in which a spacer for restricting thermal expansion of walls forming the exhaust passage for supplying exhaust gas to an exhaust side turbine wheel, is fitted into the exhaust passage. SOLUTION: A turbocharger includes a turbocharger body 4, an intake side turbine wheel 42 and an exhaust side turbine wheel 2 both arranged in the turbo-charger body, and an opening/closing valve 8 arranged in an exhaust passage to supply exhaust gas to the exhaust side turbine wheel 2. The opening/ closing valve 8 opens and closes in response to the quantity of exhaust gas supplied to the exhaust side turbine wheel 2, and a spacer 20 is fitted in between inner wall faces of the exhaust passage in which the opening/closing valve 8 is arranged. The cross-sections of end parts 27, 28 of the spacer 20 are made larger than that of a center part 29 of the spacer, and the end parts 27, 28 of the spacer 20 are housed in recessed parts formed in the inner wall faces of the exhaust passage.</p>
