PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine useful for treatment for maturing uterine necks related to the delivery or miscarriage of female mammalian by including the combination preparation of a specific prostaglandin with a specified interleukin for a simultaneous, separative or sequential use. SOLUTION: This medicine contains the combination preparation of (A) prostaglandin E2 with (B) interleukin-8 or its functional derivative for a simultaneous, separative or sequential use. The component B includes recombinant human interleukin-8 having a sequence containing 72 amino acids starting from serine, and is preferably used at 6-48 hr to the employment of the component A. The preferable preparation form of the component B is a gel or cream, and the application dose of the component B is preferably 0.01-20 mg. The medicine is useful for the induction of delivery at a date of maturity, the induction of delivery related to pathologic pregnancy, the induction of delivery related to intrauterine fetal death, etc.
