<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability of a heating resistor without changing the size of a thermal head. SOLUTION: This thermal head device comprises a plurality of heating resistor arrays 2, 3 each consisting of a plurality of heating resistor units 2a, 3a provided on an insulation plate 1 in an identical line at equal intervals and a heating resistor drive controlling section 10 that controls recording of a predetermined image information by selectively switching on or off the heating resistor units 2a, 3a. A power source line 4 for individually connecting each of the heating resistor units 2a, 3a in the respective heating resistor arrays 2, 3 to a single power source 5 in parallel is provided. A switch 6 for selecting one of the heating resistor arrays 2, 3 is provided to the heating resistor arrays 2, 3. The switch 6 and power source line 4 are provided on the insulation plate 1.</p> |
