PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove ply, reduce the number of manufacturing processes and production cost, reduce a weight of a pneumatic tire, and improve the efficiency of retreading work by constituting a base rubber layer by a rubber layer for preventing cut in which metallic short fibers are mixed in rubber and orienting the metallic short fibers substantially in parallel with peripheral direction of the tire. SOLUTION: A tread rubber 9 is formed by a base rubber layer 9B overlapped on a belt layer 7 and a cap rubber layer 9C which is arranged on an outer side in the radial direction of the base rubber layer 9B and whose outer surface forms a tread face 2S. The cap rubber layer 9C is made of rubber in which metallic short fibers are not mixed 15C, and the base rubber layer 9B is made of rubber in which metallic short fibers are mixed 15B in rubber for preventing cut. This metallic short fiber mixed rubber 15B can diffuse metallic short fibers uniformly and extrude them by orienting them in the extrusion direction. Here, the metallic short fibers are oriented substantially in parallel with peripheral direction of a tire. Consequently, it is possible to reduce the cost and improve the efficiency of retreading work and productivity. |
