Intrascleral/suprachoroidal patch inserted behind eyeball to deliver medication to uvea and retina over extended period

A non-perforating sclerotomy is performed. The eyeball is rotated through 60 degrees and a square scleral flap 10 x 10mm prepared to create a suprachoroidal bed. A stand-alone patch, or one with packing and connected outside the eye socket, is inserted. The patch is impregnated with medication.
