PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a contrast to other gloss part to be readily manifested when a semi-gloss part is partially formed by a matting treatment. SOLUTION: A groundwork layer 10 is formed on the surface of a material in a side cover by a zinc immersion process, and an electroless nickel plating layer 11 and double nickel plating layers 12 are formed on the upper part of the ground layer 10 in order. A part of the double nickel plating layers 12 (e.g. semi gloss parts 6a, 6b, 6c) is subjected to a matting treatment by a shot blast method. A chromium plating layer 13, which is a final plating layer, is formed so as to cover the whole of the part subjected to the matting treatment, and the part not subjected thereto. AS a result, the matted effect is manifested and an appearance having a quiet sheen is provided because the matting treatment by the shot blast method is carried out just before the plating process of the chromium plating layer 13.
