<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve strength of a golf club head and to improve workability by crimping a standing wall part of an additional member made of different metal to be fitted into a through hole of a shell-like head body having a through hole for mounting so that it is press fit to the inner face of the head body. SOLUTION: When an additional member 3 made of a different metal such as brass is mounted to a head body 1 of a golf club head, a through hole 2 for mounting is formed on the side of a sole face 11 of the head body 1. The additional member 3 is formed provided with an additional member body 4 and a standing wall part 6 for crimping provided with a notch part 5 for expansion with the width W of not more than 1 mm. The additional member body 4 is formed in the shape corresponding to the through hole 2 as a lower expanded block body. And after the additional member body 4 is fitted into the through hole 2, the additional member 3 is fixed to the head body 1 by crimping the standing wall part 6 projecting into the inner face side of the head body 1 so that it is press fit to an inner face 7 of the head body 1 in the expanded state.</p> |
