PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which enables substantially uniform and tight crimping of an intravascular stent to a balloon catheter assembly. SOLUTION: This stent crimping device 10 has at least one compressible and elastically expandable loop portion 36. The loop portion is outwardly expandable in a radial direction in such a manner that the stent and catheter assembly may be housed and supported. In addition, the loop portion is compressible inward in a radial direction in such a manner that the stent may be uniformly and tightly crimped to the balloon catheter assembly.
