<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a carbon black which maintains high blackness and good dispersibility and prevents aggregation in preparation of various compositions by controlling an average particle diameter, a Dmod , a D1/2 /Dmod and a pH to specific values. SOLUTION: A carbon black is prepared such that the average particle diameter is controlled to below 13 nm, the Dmod is controlled to 80 nm or less, the D1/2 /Dmod is controlled to 0.6 or less and the pH value is controlled to 5 or more. In the description above, the average particle diameter is an average diameter by electronmicroscopy, the D1/2 is a half width of the most frequent Stokes diameter in aggromelate Stokes diameter distribution by centrifugal settling method and the Dmod is the most frequent Stokes diameter. The cDBP is preferably 50 cc/100g or more. The carbon black is obtained by controlling various conditions in the carbon black-generating region in the furnace method furnace such as a position at which the raw material hydrocarbon is introduced. Furthermore, a carbon black with a ratio of D75 , which is a volume 75% diameter, to Dmod , D75 /Dmod is 1.6 or less can be obtained.</p> |
