PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting rod sorting machine capable of housing a number of connecting rods, having small occupied space of a housing shelf for housing by weight while reducing carrying in and out cycle of connecting rods between a carrying-in station, a housing shelf and carrying-out station. SOLUTION: A high-rise housing shelf 7 having a number of connecting rod suspension parts for suspending and housing connecting rods W by weight is provided to be vertically and horizontally movable within an elevation in the direction intersected with the carrying-in direction of the connection rod W. A carrying-in station 1 and a carrying-out station 8 of the connecting rod W are provided to confront with each other with the high-rise housing shelf 7 held between both the stations 1 and 8. An extruding device is provided for carrying in the connecting rod W with the attitude changed by an attitude changing mechanism in to the high-rise housing shelf 7 and carrying out to the carrying-out station 8.
