PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image without deterioration of an image quality according to a strike-through of an ink or without bleeding between colors by insolubilizing an anionic dye contained in the ink, and incorporating excellent water resistance even in a plain sheet. SOLUTION: Prior to discharging of an ink by an ink jet recording head 2, a component (dye insolubilizing component) for insolubilizing an anionic dye contained in the ink is adhered to a recording medium. The adherence of the insolubilizing material is conducted by pressing the medium to a dye insolublizing material coating roller 1 made of a dye insolubilizing member 4 exhibiting a wax state at the ambient temperature and containing the insolubilizing component by a pressure roller 3. The recording of the head 2 is executed on a dye insolubilizing material adhering area on the medium. |
