摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost and size of an electrostatic recording apparatus which acts an electric field to a photoelectric conversion element of a recording head, irradiates a light in accordance with an image information, discharges between an end part of a group of discharge electrodes extending from the photoelectric conversion element and an image hold body and forms an electrostatic latent image to a surface of the image hold body. SOLUTION: In this electrostatic recording apparatus, a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements are arranged in parallel at recording heads 10a, 10b, 10c, and end parts of a group of discharge electrodes 12a,... extending from the photoelectric conversion elements are arranged in series in a direction nearly orthogonal to a movement direction of an image hold body 1. The end parts of the group of the discharge electrodes 12a,... are brought in touch with a surface of the image hold body via a dielectric layer, so that an electric field is operated at each photoelectric conversion element by an electric field means. At the same time, a light according to an image information is irradiated from light irradiation means 31a, 31b, 31c, thereby discharging at the end parts of the group of the discharge electrodes. An electrostatic latent image is accordingly formed at the surface of the image hold body.
