PRODUCTION OF UNSATURATED GLYCOL DIESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an unsaturated glycol diester in high activity and high selectivity. SOLUTION: A conjugated diene is reacted with a carboxylic acid and molecular oxygen in the presence of a catalyst which is a metal supporting type catalyst containing rhodium and tellurium and supported on an inorganic porous material carrier and prepared by supporting the rhodium and tellurium on the carrier and then additionally supporting the tellurium thereon. In this case, the amount of the additionally supported tellurium is within the range of 0.001-2.0 expressed in terms of atomic ratio to the rhodium supported on the inorganic porous material.
