PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a good print by varying the number of times for applying an ejection pulse signal to an actuator depending on a set resolution such that it is increased as the set resolution is decreased thereby enhancing the representation of the difference of sharpness. SOLUTION: The ejector 600 ejects a liquid drop having volume of 40Pl-45Pl when the resolution is set for normal image quality, a liquid drop having volume of 20Pl-25Pl when the resolution is set for first high image quality, and a liquid drop having volume of 10Pl-15Pl when the resolution is set for second high image quality. Assuming the liquid drop volume for first high image quality is 1, the liquid drop volume for normal image quality is 1.89 and that for second high image quality is 0.56. The ratio of liquid drop volumes for normal image quality and high image quality is changed to 2:1 from conventional ratio of 10:7 and since the ratio of liquid drop volumes for first and second high image qualities is also changed to 2:1 the difference of dot density due to the difference of resolution can be represented accurately resulting in a good print. |
