PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soil agglomerating agent capable of giving a lowly viscous water-diluted solution which is easily miscible with soil and easy in handling by using a specific polymer dispersion obtained through the polymerization of monomers containing (meth)acrylic acid in an aqueous solution. SOLUTION: A polymer dispersion obtained by polymerizing water-soluble monomers containing (meth)acrylic acid in an aqueous solution in the presence of a dispersion-holding agent [preferably, a (co)polymer of dimethyldiallylammonium chloride] comprising a polymer electrolyte soluble in the aqueous solution. In the dispersion, the concentration of a (meth)acrylic acid copolymer is 5 wt.% or more, and the average particle diameter of (meth) acrylic copolymer particles is 1-100μm. The viscosity of the polymer dispersion is 30-1,000 cP immediately after production and at one month after production, and even in the case of the observation of a liquid diluted with distilled water 10 times under a microscope of 400 magnification, polymer particles can be observed, and when the diluted liquid is adjusted to pH 7 with an alkali, the polymer particles are dissolved into an aqueous solution. |
