PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating oil composition remarkably improved in heat stability and high-temperature cleaning property of a base oil by compounding base oil with a specific alicyclic epoxy compound and a specific antioxidant. SOLUTION: This lubricating oil composition is obtained by compounding (A) 100 pts.wt. base oil comprising a mineral oil and/or a synthetic oil with (B) 0.1-50 pts.wt. epoxidized ester selected from an epoxidized cycloalkanepolycarboxylic acid ester of formula I [A is a 1-18C alkyl or a 3-18C alkenyl; B is COOR; R is a 3-18C alkenyl, a 3-18C epoxidized alkyl or the like; (h) is 0-6; (i) is 2-6; (m) is 3-12] and a polycarboxylic acid epoxidized cycloalkylester of formula II [D is a polycarboxylic acid residue; E is a 1-5C alkylene; F is Al; (j) is 0-6; (k) is 2-4; (n) is 3-12] and (C) 0.1-10 pts.wt. antioxidant selected from phenolic, diphenylamine-based, phosphorus-based and surfur- based derivatives. Dioleyl-4,5-epoxyhexahydrophthalate, etc., is preferable as the component B. |
