PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink jet recording sheet having improved yellowing of a white sheet or fixability of a pigment ink in case of sticking an adhesive tape to an ink receiving layer by closing a hard copy obtained by an ink jet recording and storing it in a file. SOLUTION: In the ink jet recording sheet of a non-coating type obtained by paper making a slurry containing a natural or synthetic fiber as a main component, the sheet comprises porous starch particles. In the ink jet recording sheet of a coating type containing an ink receiving layer at least on one side surface of a support, the layer comprises porous starch particles.
