PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for maintaining the freshness of mushroom bagged for sale so as not to accelerate its quality deterioration. SOLUTION: This method comprises the following procedure: when mushroom is to be bagged, fine powder of a freshness-maintaining material is made to adhere at 0.3-0.7 wt.% to the cut surface of its root; wherein the freshness- maintaining material to be used is prepared by heat treatment of zeolite and coral at 800 deg.C and 300 deg.C, respectively, to convert them to ceramics followed by pulverizing them and then mixing in the weight ratio of (1:1). |
