<p>Sludge heat treatment apparatus in which the heating device comprises a fluid fuel burner arranged to fire into a duct through which air is caused to circulate in use, a sludge conduit extending through the duct at a position sufficiently removed from the burner to ensure that there is no impingement of flame on the sludge conduit and control for the fuel supply to the burner to maintain the temp. of the air circulating in the duct at a predetermined level.</p> |
