PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase gene which codes for a protein having a specific amino acid sequence, and allows efficient production of an endo-β-N-acetylglucosaminidase which allows analysis and modification of sugar chains. SOLUTION: This gene is a DNA which codes for (A) a protein having an amino acid sequence shown by formula I, or (B) a protein having an amino acid sequence which one or more amino acid(s) is/are deleted from, substituted in, or inserted into the amino acid sequence shown by formula I, and codes for a protein having an endo-β-Nacetylglucosaminidase activity, and had a base sequence shown by formula II. It is preferable to produce the endo-β-N- acetylglucosaminidase by aerobically culturing a transformant containing a recombinant vector having the gene. |
