摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photocatalytic body capable of permanently repeating adsorption and regeneration by blending a powdery photocatalytic particle and a powdery adsorbent having a specific surface area of a particular value at a specific ratio. SOLUTION: A photocatalytic body is a catalytic body for cleaning air prepared by blending a powdery photocatalytic particle and a powdery adsorbent having a specific surface area of 300 m<2> /g or lower in such a ratio as to satisfy 3/2<=Wt/Wa<=4, wherein Wt represents the weight of the photocatalytic particle and Wa represents the weight of the adsorbent. As the powdery adsorbent, active carbon, hydrophobic zeolite, silica gel or the like is used, and as the powdery photocatalytic particle, titanium oxide or the like is used. In this way, by optimizing the blending ratio of the powdery photocatalytic particle to the powdery adsorbent, an adsorbate adsorbed on the adsorbent can be quickly decomposed by the action of the photocatalytic particle. Further, because the adsorbent having a small specific surface area is used, the adsorbate is easy to be desorbed.
