PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject antimicrobial treatment agent having excellent liquid stability and washing durability in the industrial purposes in the form of a composition comprising an antimicrobial agent, a nonionic surfactant, a solvent, an emulsion stabilizer and water. SOLUTION: The objective antimicrobial agent is obtained in the form of a composition that is composed of (A) an antimicrobial agent, (B) a nonionic surfactant with an HLB of 10-17, (C) a solvent, for example, acetone, methanol or the like, preferably in an amount of 0.1-0.5% and (E) water. In a preferred embodiment, the component A is a mixture of compounds selected from one or two or more kinds of compound selected from nitriles, pyridines, haloalkyl- thio compounds, organic iodides, thiazoles and benzimidazoles. This composition is in the form of a solution or an aqueous dispersion and the average particle size of the component A is <=1μm in this dispersion. The component B is preferably of a sorbitan ester ether type. |
