Medicinal composition reduced in bitterness

A method of mitigating the bitterness of a medicinal ingredient by a mechanism completely different from the technique in which a sweetener is added as a corrective so as to lead the human palate to a mistake. The medicinal composition comprises (1) a medicinal ingredient which is a compound represented by general formula (I) wherein R means C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 alkyl substituted by phenyl optionally substituted by C1-4 alkyl, C1-4 alkyl substituted by hydroxylated C1-4 alkoxy, C1-4 alkyl substituted by carboxylated C1-4 alkoxy, or C1-4 alkyl substituted by aminocarbonyl-substituted C1-4 alkoxy) and (2) glycyrrhetic acid or a salt thereof.
